PayPal.com – Now in French, Spanish and more..
Though I thought of posting only SEO related stuff in this blog, this is a slight deviation, though am sure most of us who earn our bread and butter from the Internet would definitely be interested to know about this.
This morning when I tried to log into my PayPal account I found a small icon on the top right. On mouse over it would show a link but would not show a destination, neither would it show a “title” for the link – so there was no other option to know what it is other than clicking and I Clicked !

It gives a small drop down with language options. There are four languages at present. U.S. English ( default ), French ( Francais), Spanish (Espanol) and another which will either be Chinese or Japanese — excuse my ignorance with languages and fonts.
When you select the languages, you are still at http://PayPal.com – just the languages changes.
After logging in , I noticed they have also done some changes to the inner screens to make it more user friendly, however, I must say that the icon they are using for the language options is not at all suitable and in no way indicates its purpose. I think it would definitely add to usability and user friendliness, if they add a better icon or atleast a title with the link that says “choose your language”.
